Donald Turner in 1998
On July 1st, 2016, Assistant Chief Donald Turner retired from the Williamsburg Fire Department after 43 years of service. Donnie's call/volunteer firefighting career spanned four fire chiefs in which he has held the ranks of Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, Deputy Chief and finally appointed to the newly created position of Assistant Chief in 2013. Donnie will continue to work for the Williamsburg Highway Department. The department will miss his many years of knowledge and his simple yet proving ways of solving the most difficult problems and of course his many fish tales from his frequent fishing trips to Northern Maine. The Williamsburg Fire Department would like to congratulate him on his retirement and thank him for everything he has done to keep the department moving forward over years and his dedication to the Town of Williamsburg.
